Centre half Jordon Mellish was a regular with the youth team between 2008 and 2011, doing enough to earn a short term professional deal when he reached the end of his apprenticeship. He was an unused substitute for the FA Cup defeat against Stevenage in November 2011, but that was as close as he got to competitive first team action. He was released in January 2012, at which point he joined Blyth Spartans.
