Strengthening the squad
David McCreery made a couple of signings on this day in 1994 as his Pools side struggled with life back in the bottom division. Experieinced left back Mitch Cook arrived from Blackpool to add some know-how to the defence while versatile midfielder/defender Shane Reddish joined from Carlisle. Both were regulars for the rest of the season.
