Tommy Widdrington

When Pools lost in the playoffs for the second consecutive season in 2001, manager Chris Turner responded by strengthening his squad with four new signings. One of those new players was Tommy Widdrington, and the experienced midfielder played an important role in the side for the next two seasons as Pools made the playoffs yet again before winning promotion in 2003.
