Ron Young
Profile
Midfielder Ron Young joined Pools from Hull City in 1968 as the club was beginning an unsuccessful fight against relegation. Young was a regular for the next five seasons and contributed a very useful supply of goals. His best spell came in the second half of the 1971/72 season when his goals helped to lift Pools out of the bottom four and avoid re-election for the first time in three seasons.
